Welcome! My name is Stacey, and I love taking photos. (Hi, Stacey!)

But seriously. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved having a camera in my hands. And I’ve always loved going through photo albums, reminiscing about life events. When I was 17, I took a photography class at a junior college to learn allll about old school photography. Armed with my dad’s 1971 Nikon in my hand, I learned to shoot black and white film, develop said film, and all the bells and whistles.

I was hooked.

I carried my love of photography through college, though mostly as a hobby. I dabbled in some photo classes, learning how to develop color film as well – right about the time digital photography began to take off. Initially I refused to give into the masses, but slowly, I began to see some of the benefits of digital photography, and more importantly, DSLRs.

I started with a simplistic Nikon D40 and an 18-55 lens. More and more I received feedback about my photos, and people insisted that I had a good eye for this hobby I was so fond of. So slowly, I began to expand my collection of lenses, bought a new fancy camera body, and more importantly, educate myself further into the photography world.

Suddenly I found myself serious about this hobby of mine. It’s not my full time job, nor do I charge a million dollars for a session. But it’s evolved from a sometimes hobby to a side gig, and I get excited every time I’m lucky enough someone asks to hire me. I love playing with shadows & light, and my favorite thing in the world is to capture the in-between moments that are so often unseen. My approach to photography is somewhat journalistic and candid – seeing photos of laughter or silly moments makes me smile.

From weddings, to engagements, senior portraits, couples sessions, family sessions, travel, pets, and – yep – food photography – I love to do it all! If you have inquiries or just want to drop a line to me, you can email me at staceys918@gmail.com, or head on over to my Facebook page to send me a message! Thanks for visiting!
